Does anyone have an opinion on Taking Back Sunday? They're kind of a one-trick band -- the alternating vocalists -- but that trick really, really works for me. Is their newest album any good?
Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

That's one of the reasons I love Linkin Park. I think I've heard one Taking Back Sunday song and wasn't too thrilled. Another band with more than one vocalist is The Stereo, though they don't switch off during the song usually, and I think one of them left after a while.
Oh, Eddie from Ohio has three vocalists. And I guess you already know the Beastie Boys.
I can never remember which songs are Linkin Park -- I kind of have them muddled with O.A.R. and Yellowcard and Limp Bizkit and all those other bands that I am too old and unhip to tell apart. I think there's one by them on the radio right now that I don't hate, but I think they usually get too screamy for me during the screamy parts (though I do like the alternating-vocalists part of the song I'm thinking of).

Yellowcard's gimmick is an electric violin. They're all right.

I think the most recent single is "Lying from You," which has the line "The very worst part of me is you." And yeah, they get screamy, but Chester has a great scream. I really love Meteora, because pretty much every song is about identity issues, and that's a favorite theme of mine.

Has anyone seen Sarah McLachlan this summer, or happen to know offhand if she's got an opener?
It looks like somebody named Butterfly Boucher might be touring with her. (Or a band called Butterfly Boucher.)
So, did we know that John Kerrry was in a garage band at one time (I admit that I skip and skim)? The scandinavian newspapers today have stories about his days touring there. You can hear the band here:

I know it was included in the video biography that was played right before Kerry's acceptance speech at the convention.
