my beloved Hoodoo Gurus
Saw them live circa 1986. Most fun I've ever had at any concert I've attended.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

As videos go it was fairly standard 80s pop surrealism. I just didn't know they had any videos for that song or any other.
I know one of youse guys penned a book about pop music. If someone would kindly provide me with the title, I'd love to add it to my Amazon wish list. Ta ever so!
Hec co-edited a book about Bubblegum Music.
That's the one. Thanks!

Nicely pimped, Jon.
Thank you, Alicia.
Hec, when does the new book come out?
I'm thinking of asking Quimbys if they can order it for me (assuming they otherwise wouldn't have it.) Would that be helpful? I'm thinking that if they order a copy for me they might order one or two more copies for their shelves....
Not Hec (who is probably frantically proofreading the proofs as I type), but the tentative publication date is October 26. And ordering is probably definitely helpful.
Odd. Just as I was listening to the Tartan Horde song, "Bay City Rollers, We Love You", this was the quote at the top of the screen:
The Bay City Rollers, now that's music.
