Yes! And I like it as much as disc one! (Don't ask me for specific titles, because the disc and liner notes are at home, and I can't call anything up, other than the Spider-Man theme, which, of course, I love.)

Speaking of which... John McLaughlin is acting head of the CIA. Okay, it's not that John McLaughlin. Nor is it the loud pundit. WROONNNNGG!!!! (The great Robert Smigel was the writer of the McLaughlin Group skits.)

Recently bought the Roger Kellaway Cello Concerto. I heard about it and him on Soundcheck and then saw it in the bargain bin the following day. Prior to the interview I had never heard the name, but I had heard one of his pieces -- repeatedly: he wrote the closing music for "All in the Family".

Keep an eye out for the PBS American Masters Hank Williams profile. I've listened to a lot of country music the past two or three years, but I don't usually break out my LPs so Hank's been neglected. It only took a few minutes to remind me that, with all due respect to Willie, Johnny, Dolly, Merle, Jimmie Rodgers, George Jones, fill-in-you-favorite-here, Hank is the art form's apex. One amazing song after another, most written by him. Great live footage. I was shocked at how strong his voice was on the love recordings. My father is a huge Hank Williams fan -- he can tell you where he was when he heard that Hank died -- and would love this special; unfortunately Dad's stone deaf at this point. But all of you should watch it.

I am afraid I have had my four mixes far longer than I should have. I need to burn a CD for LJ and will do it THIS WEEK and send them along to her. Sorry to cause a bottleneck. I've enjoyed them a lot though!

It was sooo good. I love the PBS American Masters series. (Another good one to look out for is Judy Garland's.) Hank's made me weep and weep. And the live footage is AMAZING. Especially all the gospel songs.

The Fiery Furnaces cd was a slow grower on me, but it has now officially grown long and deep tentacles into my brain. Just as it gets a little too crazy for me to be into, it pulls me back. I'm glad I got it.

Finally, I'm already a lurker except in this thread anymore, but even that will soon diminish a bit more as my four glorious though very cashpoor months of repose are over. I got a job (but haven't started yet). And it will allow like zero fun computer time (it's a startup/in-transition graphics company that barely has desks much less cubes or walls or any privacy). Boo!! But more money (even than I was making before). Yay!!
