So far, they've shown videos by The Cure, The Mission, The Smiths, Sisters of Mercy, Concrete Blonde, and *more* Cure (plus stuff by bands I don't really care about, but don't make me lunge for the remote).
In the Bay Area, the new Cure record is #3 on the charts.
Hec, did I tell you that I went by your publisher's booth at BEA and asked them about it? I didn't spill that I knew you. (This is known as "creating buzz among the sales force" as in "Yeah, people at BEA were coming up and ASKING ABOUT IT!")

Well done! Sneaky and productive. We like that.
Which reminds me . . . . Don't I owe someone a Voltaire CD?
Was it Teppy?
I think it was me, as a matter of fact.
Now playing: "Third Uncle" by Brian Eno. Before that, "Third Uncle" by Bauhaus.
I love the Bauhaus version but I'd never heard the Eno version before. "Third Uncle" is a cool and strange song. It's just the same two chords over and over and over... and yet, it still rocks.
Now playing now: "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" - the Violent Femmes version. I forgot how much I love their version.
Have I mentioned how useful iTunes is, as a means of increasing happiness?
Yeah, I tried threadsucking to find it, but no luck. One Voltaire & stuff CD coming up. Although I could have sworn it was a male who I promised it to, but, oh well.
I'll burn it tonight. Send me your address, pretty please? Profile address is OK.
Gandalfe, don't you already have my address, since I'm the one you send the Music Swap CDs to?

Hey, there's a long tradition of two-chord classics. "Sister Ray," "Roadrunner..."

Those are the only other songs I can thing of. I've always thought that "Roadrunner" was based on "Sister Ray." And Eno was strongly influenced by the Velvets too.
Any other two-chord songs that "rock"?
