Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve. - John Prine

I feel so Californian all of a sudden. Congratulations, Gov. Chaka!

I know! It's a SAD SAD song damnit! And to put it over all those pastels and the happy. Grrrr.

And I keep hearing people refer to is at that "Morrissey" song. Also with the grrr-making.

ION - I just bought tickets to see Lucinda Williams. At a bigish smallish venue. I would pay to watch that woman whistle, she is so freaking hot.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, you know how sometimes, the little things in the middle of a stressful day just make you grin from ear to ear?

You guys did that for me today. Thank you.

Uh....I bought The Very Best of Cheryl Crow a couple of weeks ago AIFG!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I was away from the Interbunny for a while -- what was the original title? I gather a Jossverse quote?

Loooooove the Chaka Khan title, though.

Hate my iTunes. I have ver. 1.1, and since I'm running OS 9.1, the current downloadable version of iTunes (4.2) won't run on my system, and I can't find a version earlier than 4.2 but later than 1.1. Bah.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

I come back from lunch, and what do I find? A new thread title? Now I must say "harumph!"

But you know, I'll live. Really and truly.

I'm listening to Pulp and it's a good thing. Really and truly. I don't know how I lived for so long without hearing "Common People."

Right there with ya. I get system 10.03 (X.03?) on Monday and I have to clear 3GBs of music off my machine beforehand to make room for it.

screams in frustration and pain at the mere thought

But I don't use iTunes to burn - I use Toast - so I avoid the 1.1 burning issues there.

Once I get upgraded, though, I will be able to buy from the iTunes store. My poor poor checking account.

Oh - the old title was the "down with the new music, have the albums to prove it" giles quote. I like this one better, too. And we made me Aimee smile. It's all good.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm pretty sure "Wrath of Shaka Khan" was an MST3K line. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

hip deep in pie

One is current HP digital camera ad that uses Pictures of You by The Cure; not only should songs by The Cure not be used in commercials, but especially songs that are traditionally Goth "I'm going to sit in my darkened room and mope about the break-up" heartbreak songs. Is that the message HP wants associated with its products? Mopey, heartbroken goths?

The Cure's Just Like Heaven is in heavy rotation in the Muzak in the mall beside my work. It's incredibly unsettling every time I hear it.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hi. I might come in now that I'm not 12-CD gal anymore...I like that title, btw.Even though I know serious people have 500.(/High Fidelity) I may never afford to be a serious person, though.
