Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I mostly resent their existence since they keep the greatest rock drummer of his generation from hitting his kit.

Oh, go listen to Probot and leave the Foo alone.

Yes! Probot!

Is Dave hitting the kit again for Probot?? I was uncertain who was playing what for the "band."

I haven't heard any (actually, hey! I think they're on my Virgin Megastore mix. Yep, "Shake Your Blood"), but I think Dave drums and guests do everything else.

Actually, according to allmusic.com, Dave does everything but the vocals (and some lyrics).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dave wants to be more than just a drummer. Let him out of your little box, Hecubus!

Pffft. Great rock drummers are in extremely short supply. According to Don Was, Grohl is only the second one he's ever heard with perfect time, and he hits as hard as Bonzo.

And I replied.

I bought a bunch of stuff for my projected Cosmic Cowboys mix. Do we want Neil Young on this mix or not? "After the Goldrush" fits, I think.

Lisa Stansfield is boring me. That surprises me.

You should listen to Buffalo Springfield instead.

Or possibly Barry White.

I picked up some comps cheap this weekend.

Rebels & Outlaws for $4.99. Great nasty old country.

and...

Further Beyond Nashville which is realllly eclectic country with everything from Lambchop to Dylan to Laura Cantrell to Waylon Jennings to the Waco Brothers.

If I had to get just one Palace record what should it be?

Viva Last Blues?

There Is No One Who Will Take Care Of You?

or

Lost Blues and Other Songs? (I'm inclined towards this)
