But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No doubt she's image conscious, and the image she wants to project is put-upon rebel it seems, but I think she's genuinely fucked up and OOC.

Well, I'd agree with all of those statements: image conscious, put-upon rebel, genuinely fucked up and out of control. But her desperate need for attention and celebrity drives the fucked up and out of control. That's the calculation I see - she's getting press. She acts out and she gets attention and that's what she craves.

but this is sad. And poor Frances Bean!

Yeah. Kurt's mom seemed pretty level headed, but it's hard enough being the child of a suicide without your Mom being on a permanent bender.

"Why do the facts hate America?" - Jon Stewart

I don’t care who wrote what, “Live Through This” is still one of my favorite albums of all time.

I’m sure some of what she does is quite calculated, but right now all I think she’s doing is imploding. I feel bad for her and bad for her kid, but still can’t look away from the train wreck.

Also, I just found out my husband has finished downloading Wilco’s latest album. He makes such valuable use of his work time! And I can’t wait to hear it…

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Yeah, I don't think what she's doing now is calculated. She's a drugged up mess and I feel bad for her and worse for her kid.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Just wait 'til Frances Bean gets old enough to write a tell-all book about her childhood....

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It'll be a best-seller, I'm sure. "The Ways My Mother Fucked Me Up: Volume One."

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I insist that you look at her Texas Instruments!

And it's at this point that I recommend a wonderful punk band called The CalTrans-Vestites, and their song, "Courtney's a Whore," with the refrain, "and I don't wanna see her hole."

They also have a kicking song called "Romance isn't dead (It's just moved to a gay community.)"

Hi Shawn! I know I'm not around enough, the curse of a non-internet workplace (and general fatigue and crap). But I miss you.
