Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Hmm, but you would never say that about someone who was actually interesting, would you?

Up with the sun

And she admitted to being a fellow addict who isn't allowed to have cable because she would watch too much TV.

This is me. (Or at least that's my rationale that doesn't involve the fact I have other things to spend $50 a month on. Like more CDs.)

I think there's a difference between somene not being a total diva or airhead, and someone being boring. YMMV.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

tommyrot, you around? Just wanted to let you know that "Dinkytown" from your CD is getting heavy, heavy rotation on my iPod ...

Cool. That song just sums up the college experience, don't it? It got lots of airplay on a Minneapolis college station about ten years ago. I think Willie Wisely Trio were local to Mpls - I don't know if they ever had a national following.

And I owe you two CDs - I'll get them out Monday.

A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

The iTunes music store is giving me no love today.

I want Adrian Belew. They don't have the song I want. ("Oh Daddy") I want "I'm Only Happy When It Rains." Not there. I want "Stay" done by The Hollies. (I'm not crazy, right, they did do a version of "oh won't you stay ... just a little bit longer"?) Nada.

Feh.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I used to have an Adrian Belew CD with that , I wonder if I still do. If so, I'll burn for you.

Jon, thank you! Allmusic.com is the bestest.

msbelle, I took my outrage on over to half.com, and for $13 (my CD check) I am getting the Belew, the Garbage song, and a Sinead O'Connor CD, which I think I lent to someone in college and never got back. Anyway. But thank you!

hip deep in pie

I just got a package from Down Under! Woot!

It contained Moonlit's and Angus' mixes, which I have only just popped in the CD player. Both look great, and I'm lookingforward to hearing them.

Bicyclops, I'll try to get them into the mail for you Monday, or Tuesday.
