Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Lorne ,'Time Bomb'

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Jon, thank you! Allmusic.com is the bestest.

msbelle, I took my outrage on over to half.com, and for $13 (my CD check) I am getting the Belew, the Garbage song, and a Sinead O'Connor CD, which I think I lent to someone in college and never got back. Anyway. But thank you!

"Why do the facts hate America?" - Jon Stewart

Cool. That song just sums up the college experience, don't it? It got lots of airplay on a Minneapolis college station about ten years ago. I think Willie Wisely Trio were local to Mpls - I don't know if they ever had a national following

They were local to Mpls - pretty much unknown anwhere else as far as I know.

I just got a package from Down Under! Woot!

It contained Moonlit's and Angus' mixes, which I have only just popped in the CD player. Both look great, and I'm lookingforward to hearing them.

Bicyclops, I'll try to get them into the mail for you Monday, or Tuesday.

Ooh! Angus and Moonlit CDs on this side of the planet. Whoot!

Some of what Angus has sent me is usually at the top of my playlists, and I Don't Listen To That Kind Of Music That Much.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You know, I never really thought about it but this song could be on a hellish xmas tape.

Johnny's got a light in his eyes and Shirley's got a light on her lips Jakes got a monkeyshine on his head and Debra Ann's got a tiger in her hips they can twist and turn they can move and burn they can throw themselves against the wall but they creep for what they need and they explode to the call and then they move move Sex beat, go

They're stupid like I told ya, very stupid like ya saw very stupid as the simple thought of ever thinking at all and all their mind, all their souls all their bodies all we know all we know all the things that should a made us whole all the colourless security was all that someone could go and move, move Sex beat, drop

and yes you do look cool and by the floodlights so blue you make my tropical apartment bed, your sacrificial pool my body in the water and my heart is in your hand so this is the way you choose to send me to the judgement land so you can't move, move oohh..sex beat, go

and every day I agree you throw me down by the christmas tree I watched your lights blink on and off while you start your fun with me I, I know your reasons and I, I know your goals we can fuck forever but you will never get my soul just so you can move so you can move so you can move so you can move so you can oohh... Sex beat

Up with the sun

New! CDs today! Rilo Kiley (per Tina's recommendation), The Thrills (who I heard on a mix tape from erinaceous), the Rough Trade 25 compilation, and Counting Crows' greatest hits.

I am sated. Well, almost. They didn't have the Walkmen.

Am listening to the Thrills right now.

When a cd has the symbol "ADD" that means it was an analog recording, right?
