Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

Read the whitefont?

Don't read the whitefont?

Read the whitefont?

Don't read the whitefont?

Read the whitefont?

Don't read the whitefont?

....

....

head explodes.

I'm about at the second don't read the whitefont. It's not that I don't want to be spoiled, I'm worried about too much overexposure between now and September.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I read the whitefont, and in some ways I'm glad I did, in a 'brace for impact' sort of way. OTOH, I'll regret not having the mega HSQ for a few moments.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Ah, the eternal dilemma of the spoiler companion... Nah, what am I saying. I'm always glad I read the whitefont.

I am so rattled by the fact that they kill off Wash that part of me really hopes that I only dreamed that I read that.

Are we sure that Minear didn't write parts of this?

I can't believe it either Ann! Not my Wash! I was starting to expect they'd all be dead at the end, and I was thinking so does this mean no sequel?

I'm glad I read that-- I'll be able to brace the non-spoiled fans in the household a little bit. The non-Buffyverse one especially might need reminding that Joss believes in killing off important characters to show you that the danger's real-- shades of Jesse and Jenny, and Doyle, in those deaths. Makes you hear Wash's line from the trailer, "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die?" quite differently, too.

What, no waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! for Book ?

A little waah for Book. But recovered pretty quickly, considering. Way bigger waaAAAAAAAh! for Wash; my previous guess had been that one one crew death was likely, two would be more of a surprise in a single movie.

amych, there was plenty of WAAH! for Book when I first read of his demise, but it was eclipsed by the OMGWTFNONONONO!!!!!!!! for Wash.

One reason I don't mind being spoiled for HSQ moments in general is that it makes it easier to keep one eye on unspoiled friends' reactions to the HSQ. This can be highly entertaining.
