He was. Any vampire in your blood lineage above you is your sire. So the Master, Darla, Angel and Drusilla are all Spike's sires.
And if you believe that was what the writers thought Spike meant in School Hard, I've got some swamp land in Florida and a bridge you might be interested in purchasing.
Plus, Drusilla may have turned Spike, but Angel(us) turned him into a monster.
Poor wittle Spikewikey.
Poor wittle Spikewikey.
t Brain explodes ... again
Spike will be fine, here, just feed him a season's worth of scenery to chew on.
Seeing as how I know I've heard Spike much later refer to Angel as his grandsire, it's definitely a continuity error. I can recommend several voluntary rehabilitation programs to anyone who needs to come to terms with this.
Continuity is for wimps.
Or is that context? I disremember.
I really think it's sexy when people pay attention to continuity. It might actually turn me on, really. Like, really.
That said, I'm not selling the jossisahottie domain any time soon, just because the man completely overlooks backstories he himself made up.
Ok, this is from the movie, so I'm talking about it here: On Sci Fi's Firefly page, they give the Shepherd's name as Derrial Book. In the three pre-screenings I went to (first two times in Chicago, third time in Charlotte), I remember it being Meria Book (which pleasantly surprised me by confirming what IMDB had listed a while earlier). Somebody on Whedonesque says they saw Derrial all three times in Denver.
Can others who remember confirm either way? Firefly character names are a huge pet peeve for me. (It's not Jerry Lee. It's not Warren. And we still don't know anything about Zoe's full name. Damnit.)
It was Meria the two times I went.
I'm pretty certain I saw Derrial in Philly both times.
Meria each time for me. Atlanta & Charlotte.
