Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Well, if you've used up all your ammunition fruitlessly shooting at Supes, why not?

Why not toss it over your shoulder as you run away? Or at least run away with your gun with hopes to use it another day, or just drop it and run like hell? Unless it's one that was issued to you, or you picked it up from the table, most people regard their guns as important.

Of course now I'm trying to introduce logic into villainy and the behavior of henchmen...

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Kinda makes me wonder how he sits down. But it does explain the whole "still a virgin while looking this hot" bit.

See, I'd thought the whole dumb as a bag of hammers thing was the explanation for this.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Well, back in the serials and 50's, maybe. Has anyone thrown a gun (another silly move) in any of the incarnations since the George Reeves AoS?

They did a joke about that on JLU, though it was Wonder Woman instead of Supes. Guy empties a clip at her, which she blocks, then hauls back to throw his gun and she says "Like that's going to work."

I have a plan.

They did a joke about that on JLU, though it was Wonder Woman instead of Supes.

Seems they did a joke on that on the Simpsons too. Treehouse of Horror episode 'Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl', guest starring Lucy Lawless (who's not Xena).

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Treehouse of Horror episode 'Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl', guest starring Lucy Lawless (who's not Xena).

"Xena can't fly!"

"I'm not Xena."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Variety speculating on schedule changes:

WB

Biggest priority should be moving "Smallville" to 9 on Wednesday to get it away from "Lost" and to feed off of viewers looking for good drama after the ABC skein ends.

Returning drama "Summerland" would work nicely as "Smallville's" lead-in;

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That's not going to help if they do end up moving Alias to that slot, as rumored. Though I'm betting more people will be watching Lost than Alias.

Summerland is returning? That was the one with Lori Loughlin, right? Huh.

And why the fuck does Variety keep using the word "skein"? It's a show, peoples. IT'S A SHOW. You don't have to be pretentious about it.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Variety is all about the pretentious Variety-speak.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most of the ep bores me, but Shank's "Oh, god!" when RDA delivers the line about maybe having been captured to impregnate the ladies cracks me up.

And I say Shanks and RDA, just because it seems so visceral -- no idea if it was improv, but the idea charms.
