This heart ain't gonna cut itself out

See, I dig Lionel, but I need him to wash his hair. It's looking mangy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

that's also what I like about Jack on Tru Calling.

And thus you see my worries about execution ...

Art Crawl!!!

Exactly -- I know that MR can do it, but can Smallville? I don't know -- unless they keep to the level they've been at for the last two episodes.

I also want to see that prophecy from season 1 again: Pres. Lex and the flowers and the blood.

I'm skimming the list of planets that have been visited on Stargate, and the statement that none of them have changed since the humans were taken from Earth is way too broad. Hanka (Cassie's planet), Kelowna (Jonas's planet), Cartoga (Cor-Ai), Nasya (Line Of Duty), the one with Carter's ex Jonas, the one where the NID stole the guardian thingie, right off the top of my head are just random civilisations.

I've been watching too much DS9. The symbiotes are confusing the hell out of me. Trills have a blended personality.

I expect you're right. I just think all of them should have changed. Cause people? We change. Constantly. Language, mores, clothing, furniture.

We change.

::shrugs::

It's not a huge deal, it's just my deal.

Speaking of Stargate, I ficced again. For Vonnie & Katie.

"I go because it suits me."

I've been watching too much DS9. The symbiotes are confusing the hell out of me. Trills have a blended personality.

I also have this confusion. Listening to a Stargate commentary in which the production people were discussing Martouf & his symbiote Lantash, I found myself thinking (possible Martouf spoiler) "wouldn't Lantash have Martouf's memories & those of any hosts before him? If Sam were for some reason to host Lantash, wouldn't she have both Martouf and Jolinar's memories & be horribly confused?" Then I realized symbiotes aren't Trill, & I can no longer remember which rules govern what. Argh. Brain hurts!

The symbiotes hang from the ceiling of the cave; the trills stick up from the floor of the cave. Easy peasy.

Violet, no, you're right (that is to say, that rule applies to symbiotes). That is, you would be right, if Stargate were that consistent in its characterization of the symbiote-host relationship. Bah! I crack myself up with the humor.

The new hosts get the memory of the old hosts? Where did we see that?

DS9 confused me in Invasive Procedures where Dax is moved to Lionel Luthor (you know what I mean), and the new blend acts like a complete ass, but when Dax goes back to Jadzia, it's all hugs and flowers. I'm not sure how consistent DS9 is -- people are still referred to as Jadzia or Dax -- at least the funky voice thing on Stargate makes it clear.

Umm... okay, nowhere. Curse you, wee ita! It's like you follow me around to point out the glaring holes in my hastily-composed, ill-thought-out posts!

But don't we see that the symbiote gets the memories of the host? And then the new host would get the memories of the symbiote? Sorta? Well, Sam anyway. So it's like: (xCy ^ yCz) -> xCz?
