Hey. New board.

Have you now seen all seven seasons?

I saw the first six within three months of seeing my first episode. Season seven was still airing at the time, so I saw it a bit less quickly.

B/A is my least favorite thing about the first 3 seasons, actually. Love Buffy, love Angel, don't like them together.

I still say season five is awesome. I like Dawn. I like Glory. I even like Riley in the poor-puppy-she-doesn't-love me phase of early five. I like Spike in the hopeless love phase. I love W/T in season five (like it more in six, but six has other problems).

I will say, whatever my feelings about a particular season, it does my heart good to see that each season seems to have SOMEONE who loves it. I'm cool with that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it does my heart good to see that each season seems to have SOMEONE who loves it. I'm cool with that.

Whereas it just makes me wonder at the number of delusional people around.

Doesn't everyone know it's all about season 2?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I know I'm a heretic putting season one so low, but I do. WTTH/TH and PG made it all worth it, though.

Ah, it's the breakdown of the bicameral mind, as this is the point we finally differ at Cindy. My ranking would be :

1 (as good as TV has ever gotten)
2
3________Angel 1
___._____ Angel 2

6________Angel 5 (once it stopped being the Spike Show)

4________Angel 4

5
7

____________ ___________average season of Charmed

__________Angel 3 _______My Mother the Car

Wrod. Followed closely by Season 3, but still Season 2, people.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I liked Season 6, but it was also my first "new" season. My favorite is season 3. Thought Seasons 4 and 5 had the weakest arcs, IMO, but some of the best episodes. If I had to rate each season on "overall" quality, I'd probably do it 3, 2, 4, 1, 5, 6, 7 but even my bottom-ranked ones were still enjoyable, though 7 definitely had the highest annoyance factor between the potentials and the speechs and the FE probably being the biggest let-down as a Big Bad in the history of the series when it had the potential to be the best. (Adam probably ranks as my second-worst BB, but I wasn't expecting much out of him. He was a friggin' Frankensteinian Demon Cyborg. You just don't expect coolness there.)

I've only seen each Angel season once, so I can't really call favorites yet, though Season 3 is probably my least favorite (though I certainly don't hate it.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My rankings

S4 AtS (Best. Season. Ever.)
S2 AtS (Close.)
S2 BtVS (Leather. Pants.)
S1 AtS (Faith. Torture. Guh.)
S3 BtVS (Faith. Subtext. Guh.)
S3 AtS (Wesley. Guh.)
S1 BtVS (So young!)
S6 BtVS (Realistic depression is rare.)
S4 BtVS (Actually, depending on my mood, swap 6 and 4.)
S7 BtVS (So much potential... sigh.)
Every single ad ever aired during BtVS and AtS, including the ones for feminine products.
S5 BtVS.

Even though S7 makes me more angry.

Even though S7 makes me more angry.

It was the wasted potential, and the unwasted potentials, methinks. Plus, lack of follow-through on season 6, I also guess.

But I can't forgive Angel 3 and 4 for some of the stuff you do, even for meta reasons.

And Buffy 4 is still big in my heart (it was also a big conversion-of-other-people season for me).

Honestly, AtS 4 hit my brain at its exact wavelength or something. I didn't see much that *needed* forgiving. (And I wrote CoCo pre-canon, so, you know, seemingly missing the squick bone.)

And S3, I forgive for reasons that are hella shallow.
