Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

"God...my brilliance is now becoming a bit of a burden...get back to me." Dr. Cox - Scrubs

Sex and violence on television? Since when?

Nobody

Rating the season finales-I liked them all a lot, though Prophecy Girl (as with Season 1 as a whole) is the least of them for me. My favorite ep is Graduation Part I (which I suppose is technically cheating as it didn't end the season). The one that makes me cry every time is The Gift.

I don't think that's cheating. I think the actual two parters (one whole episode, split between two hours) should only (have to) be counted as one episode. For me, Becoming is just Becoming. Ditto Surprise/Innocence, What's My Line, Graduation Day. Two to Go/Grave and Bargaining are a bit more splittable for me, but the others seem more seamless.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

My mom didn't have any trouble with the lesbian storyline in OMWF, but she did say of Willow and Tara "why are they wearing those ugly clothes?"

You should show her Willow wearing Elmo's pelt, just to give her some perspective.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

So, I watched Band Candy this morning and realized that I have been totally corrupted by erika's AU version in Buffistafic. I kept waiting for Munch to show up. I also realized that I may be a little bloodthirsty, because my first reaction was, "Only five babies? That's not much of an offering. Why'd they go to all that trouble if they were only gonna take five?"

Band Candy. Sigh. Good times.

Always Anti-fascist!

OMG, really!! No, Buffy remains one of the few shows the Munchkin was never on.(He does hold the current most crossovers, evah at one time record, though)For appearing on H:LOTS, L&O and The X-Files in the same week, if anyone cares. And he's got to be edging up on Grammer's most years as a single character thing, too.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And he's got to be edging up on Grammer's most years as a single character thing, too.

Over Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke?

Always Anti-fascist!

Oh, I guess Grammer holds the *comedy* record for that, duh. I guess, in the most technical sense, being both 1 hour dramas, Matt still takes that crown(it just feels funny thinking of them as the same thing cause they feel like different planets) And all their murders? Stone dunkers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gunsmoke takes the cake for years, but Belzer's got everyone beat for being the same guy on the most shows. Hell, he's been a regular on different shows, not to mention his guest gigs.

'And on that tragic day, an era came to its inevitable end.' That's all there is.

the WB — cut back on the level of violence during TV's so-called family hour, between 8 and 9 p.m. For the WB, that's due almost entirely to losing one program, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy : And they say one person can't make a difference.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'll tell you, I'd have felt a lot more worried if the Fundies had liked the show and gotten its highly moral themes.

I'd like to see someone do a content warning guide to the Bible sometime, just for comparison's sake. It has nudity, incest, sodomy, prostitution, murder, war, magic and supernatural creatures, and would probably rank as extremely offensive on those context-free sin-o-meters.
