If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

There was some moron who was standing around telling people what was going to happen. "Oh it's so awesome you'll never guess that *ending spoiler!*"

My dad's been so funny recently, calling me whenever he sees an article in the paper on the end of Buffy, or when he (mistakenly) thought the finale was last week he called several times to make sure that I knew. I explained that there was one more left and he was asking "does she die then?" and then we got into this whole discussion of spoilers and how much work it is to avoid them. I've had to "la,la,la I can't hear you" my sister a couple of times since she's several eps behind and will ask questions without knowing what might be a spoiler or not, but so far so good.

I was looking for the bittorrent, but still planning on watching the broadcast and it suddenly hit me that there won't be any promos, that there won't be a next week on Buffy ever again. My breath just caught in my throat. This is gonna be so strange.

It's a remora, dimwit.

I thought they changed "Invisible Girl" because it meant that the first season had "Invisible Girl" then "Prophecy Girl" too close together, which could make things confusing. So after the season ender was titled, they switched the previous episode's title. Sort of a Revenge of the Jedi/Revenge of Khan thing.

I could see Mlle Buttmunch controlling all of the Bringers through telepathy -they've shown that seems to be popular with non-speaking demons. And Caleb might have also been able to do that. So I would have bought an explanation that said that she was aware of the Bringer being captured and could control what he said since she controlled everything else he did.

Though it just occurred to me that maybe they are referring to it as a scythe to try to associate the Slayer with Death.

Good thought. I also think it might be trying to refer back to The Harvest. But could they maybe vague it up a little?

A .little info about the Scythe--Jane told me they had always called it a scythe and thought of it as such, but the art department decided to take an element from all major weapons and put them together--so it has parts of a scythe, a knife, an axe, a mace, etc.

I can see this - if you disregard the fact that there are no recognizable scythe parts.

FTR, I just think the scythe business is kind of funny, I don't mean to be pillorying (is that a word?) the writers over this as if it were a major deal.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

When did the art dept. design it? The Fray axe has been around for what? A year now?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Sounds like the art department may have seen a few too many Leatherman Multi-Tool ads. Still, I like the idea, and I think the whole "Scythe" thing is meant to tie into "The Harvest", the Grim Reaper, etc., etc.

Don't know when, Jon. I think the scythe part is the handle.

Up with the sun

Also wondering what the Grr Argh monster will have to say.

I would love it to be "Bye-bye."

Though I guess it's not bye for ME...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm not even thinking about the Grr. Arrgh. guy. The previouslies alone are going to kill me.
