I think the scythe part is the handle.

yeah--I meant that the designers used a scythe handle, um, snath, in their design. BTW--I love that word. snath snath snath.

I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

Snath? This is why I love my Buffistas.

Cindy, I see your point about re-watching--but I'm kind of saving the rewatching as my consolation for no new episodes after the finale. One fan was contemplating watching an episode a week, from the beginning all through, so she could do retrospective reviews, and I like that idea too.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Snath is a great word. I assumed that the Buffy art dept. just copied the design from the comic book. If the comic artist copied the design from the art dept. then that means that Joss had them design something for episodes that wouldn't be filmed for over a year. If that's true, I'm impressed!

The previouslies alone are going to kill me.

The amazing Jeff Mejia Mejia-ed the 'previously' for "The Gift", in TT: part I, part II, part III, part IV.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Still, silly Art Department.

We should repost those to Mejiaville! I can do that if Jeff isn't around.

Jon--can you see the original in the comic book? And does it match the one on screen? All I know is that it's a collage of a lot of weapons and I know they talked to tthe art department about it because she said the writers thought it looked shinier and newer than they expected.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

can you see the original in the comic book? And does it match the one on screen?

Absolutely identical. DCJ posted links to the pics side by side somewhere long ago.

Yes, and yes. Someone (maybe Mejia?) linked to a side-by-side image he worked up. I'll see if I can find the link...

t edit Right - it was Daniel.
