Wenda - if Spike and Buffy did have sex in the pre-school bus scene, how does that mitigate your bad feelings about her?
It's not the sex in the sacred pre-schoolbus, uh, or whatever. It's being in love with him, or willing to be in love with him once this whole darned apocalypse is over, that mitigates my feelings.
The sex is really a separate issue. Though, were I forced to link them, I would probably argue that in Entropy, Buffy told Spike she wouldn't sleep with him because she didn't love him, so if she did sleep with him, that means she loves him.

I like that we don't know what Spike and Buffy did. It was private.
It just occurred to me that we never did find out what was in the note she left him after the best night of his life. Just like we never did find out what happened last year when she and Angel met up someplace in between. I really love that - that this character whom we and countless others have been scrutinizing and micro-analyzing to death still managed to have these little pockets of her fictive life entirely secret and private unto herself.

You're too kind, but I think if you combine all of our fanwanks, you'd have a story with all the clarity of Umberto Eco and the direction of a blind gopher. But it would definitely be entertaining! (As both Eco and blind gophers often are.)

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies
Also one thing I forgot to mention last night, but a small detail I wouldn't normally notice on the first watch. Buffy was wearing pointy shoes during her battle. And okay, I get that is sort of in now, but pointy dress shoes? Come on...wear you damn knee highs, its the end of the world as we know it, bust out some ass-kicking gear.
Hee - I noticed those pointy shoes too, and thought "aww, it's Buffy wearing inappropriate clothes for a battle one last time! Yay!"

The only thing that assuages my profound sadness that I only found the Buffistas five months ago is the fact that I found you.
I came late to the show, S2 reruns, start of S3. Came waaaay late to the Buffistas party.
But even in five months, many of you here have made a difference. And I'm glad.
