I liked the episode with a deep well of liking it. But I am also pondering now. There were so many loose ties from this whole season, like life, that never got retied (like remember way back when we all though telepathy was going to be a big thing? Apparently no... just a one ep deal).
I liked the idea of all the girls getting the power, that Buffy finally basically said fuck you to hierarchy of the watchers.
And Giles. He was all Gilesy again. Not weird stiff man, but actually Gilesy!
Anya dead makes me sad. Spike, not so much since he went down a hero. I giggle that he's actually more of a Champion (cause you know, Vampire with a Soul, plays important role and all that....) than Angel.
I yearn for the Angel drawing on the punching bag.
BTW, I'm oddly feeling like The Gift was actually the real finale. This didn't feel like a series ender - just a season one.

But is Spike dead? Was all that about him being on Angel next season just a crock?

AND! I'd like to say, this is my first spoiler free season. I'm officially saying that ita was right. For me, it's a more enjoyable experience to watch when I'm spoiled free. Too bad I'm already casting spoiled for Angel for next season.

Everyone's mentioning the hall way scene where the Core and Giles were talking about shopping, was I the only one who thought the sound was out of synch there?
It just sounded weird and for a minute I thought I was hearing the thoughts that were in their heads.

I loved it even more on rewatch (which I just did). But I'm not going tro argue with anyone who didn't-I'm only sorry everyone didn't get the Buffy ending they wanted (if it had to end)-as I did. But it was never possible that we were all going to be happy.
