I know the repurposing isn't a huge change, but it is a change.
We've repurposed other threads without a vote. Buffy Quotable turned into a deathmatch thread, which extended but changed its original function. We would merely be making official what has always been a part of the Jossiverse thread culture.
Did we really allow the chick in FLORIDA to count our votes??
Who knew there would be so many voters in favor of the all gay all nekkid thread?

I know. I'm just a little iffy on making an official change without going through the procedure we agreed on for making official changes.

Changing the slug doesn't seem like it would warrant a vote to me. Maybe if I saw more objections to the idea, but I haven't yet.
I like the idea of retaining the name (at least while this thread is still alive) and just changing the slug.

Ok, if that's what we had gotten in 2000, no one would be mad at your state.
**smooches**
I agree with Hil and Jesse.
As others have noted, "Jossverse..." is the de facto comics thread. Earlier today I posted about a non-Jossverse comic being released and felt comfortable doing so because of previous discussions. I think it is totally appropriate to change the title and slug to reflect the more generalized nature of the thread.
For a title I suggest (though it's probably too long): "The Jossverse in Other Media Ultra Super Size Edition! With special guest stars Marvel, DC, and many more!"
I'm not going to throw a huge shitfit about this, but I still think it's a bad idea.
