I know. I'm just a little iffy on making an official change without going through the procedure we agreed on for making official changes.
Changing the slug doesn't seem like it would warrant a vote to me. Maybe if I saw more objections to the idea, but I haven't yet.

As others have noted, "Jossverse..." is the de facto comics thread. Earlier today I posted about a non-Jossverse comic being released and felt comfortable doing so because of previous discussions. I think it is totally appropriate to change the title and slug to reflect the more generalized nature of the thread.
For a title I suggest (though it's probably too long): "The Jossverse in Other Media Ultra Super Size Edition! With special guest stars Marvel, DC, and many more!"

I'm all for maintaining precedent, but this isn't really an official change, since there was never an official "limiting."
