Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Also, the reasons Cindy left are not quite covered under Rafmun's point, either.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Right on, Kate. Thanks, bicylcops. See, this is the kind of thing I love about us. People do take the extra step.

And seriously, I really hope the people who think the board as a whole is getting snotty will call people on it, when specific things are said. In thread or over email, if that's too public for you. It's hard to step back and take a look at your actions if the only feedback you're getting is that they are OK.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It's The Yoko Factor.

I'm listening to INXS right now and you've still earwormed me with "Dear Yoko". Damn you! DAMN YOUUUU!!!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Okay, so in the interests of talking about the issue, rather than the personalities, what is it we need to do? Beej's e-mail suggested that she didn't think things were spelled out clearly enough in the FAQ/ettiquette.

Do we need to add stuff to the site ettiquette along the lines of "just about everyone feels ignored at one point or another" and "no one person speaks for the board" and "we value our independence, so anything that smacks of preaching will garner a very bad reaction"?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Cindy is still here posting as Xanderella.

Also, IIRC, she pulled back from heavy posting not because of issues with board management or individual posters, but just because it was becoming an unmanageable timesuck for her.

Also, I want to marry Matt's post, and I want all of Nutty's laws and corollaries on a t-shirt.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Teppy, what are you talking about?

I've lately developed a hankering for a t-shirt saying "Fetch the Gimp". No good can come of this.

PS: Steph, I don't even know what you're talking about, but it seems snotty.
