I think I may have been the only one pushing for a vote, but that was mostly because this situation isn't something we ever planned on. At this point does anyone see Dana's motion being defeated if we did go so far as to vote on it? I don't. I haven't seen anyone speak against banning him. Facebook reports that he viewed Msbelle's post on this over there, which along with his tweet on the matter indicates that he probably knows what we are doing here. I withdraw my objection to consensus.
Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
BS consensus works for me.
I'm for consensus
Consensus is okay with me.
Consensus works for me.
I'm shocked and saddened to learn that P-C has caused this kind of trouble for so many people I support a consensus decision.
Consensus also works for me- I re-read and Banning isn't voting issue. He has done enough on the actual board over years - he has been warned in thread-- he has been warned off thread, and we see the pattern continue. Even though we are small right now, I do not want the Buffistas used as a grooming place, or the Buffistas name and connection used to gain positive support in other places.
Consensus sounds right.
Agreed re: consensus. I'd ask that we wait until tomorrow night to take action, just in case there are people who are off-line for the weekend who would want to weigh in.
aurelia, I know you've said you don't need more info, but this twitter thread is pretty specific, if you haven't seen it. (You probably have to scroll up and down.) [link]
Maybe give a time period for discussion and then consensus. It's a weekend and I think some people may not know the discussion is going down. I think some people not normally inclined to do so might weigh in if they knew they had 48 (or whatever) hours In which to act.
I had my concensus concerns/doubts along with DX and they have changed along with him as well. I'd like to see a concensus as thorough as possible, however.
