Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Once again, it is all your fault. HUGE mess. The only possible way you can make it better is by coming round and being cheerful and sweet to everyone.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The only possible way you can make it better is by coming round and being cheerful and sweet to everyone.

Road trip!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Bases on what Jesse wrote here, and the posts immediately below it, here is how I have written the ballot. Jesse, if you want any changes, you have until around 3pm board time (6pm EDT) to make them. Voting will start around then.

Proposed: Should we eliminate "No Preference" as an option on future ballots?

If this proposal passes, then the following rule will also go into effect: In a multi-part ballot, where there is a primary question (e.g. creating a thread) and one or more secondary questions (e.g. spoiler policy), the quorum of 42 would only have to be met on the primary question.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Perfect. Thanks.

Swouncing

The voting address is forwarding to me (I got the test mail).

Also, I'll take this opportunity to thank Jon (and ita) for all the around-the-behind-the-scenes work they do with each ballot.

Eh, I don't do but nothing. It's the counters and Jon who do work.

Imagine--one day the whole thing could be automated.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

This thread is now open to discuss the following proposal from Glamcookie:

I propose we have a Dollhouse thread.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Before anyone asks, the rules are: four days of discussion and three days of voting.

I agree with Kat that we should add some kind of component to the vote about just automatically opening a thread for a Joss show (though that does open a whole other can of worms).

I think it should be a separate issue on the ballot. That way each issue becomes its own thing.

But I'd also be surprised if that one doesn't pass. I mean, for all the discussions we've had over the years about Who We Are, surely that is the one immutable underlying definition, yes? Although I can see why people might be against automatically creating even just Joss threads.

As to the can of worms....

If we do decide to just automatically open a thread for any new Joss show, when exactly do we open it? Rumor, Development, Pilot Shooting, Initial Episodes Shooting, Episode Delivery, Confirmed on the Schedule, or Actual Airing?
