I disagree with this, because if that were a case the experimentals would have failed. While I appreciate so much everyone's thoughts and words, I think the way Buffistas interact with threads are more complex than whitefont rules. I dislike whitefont, even though I've been spoiled in the past by its non-use; but I still go into the threads that use them and use whitefont myself, even though I dislike it. I certainly don't dislike it enough to keep from using a thread that enables me to talk about shows with you people. The discussion matters more to me than the mode of discussion, even if I find the mode to be imperfect. And I think this is the case for other Buffistas as well.

I don't know what this means. I understand that it is not intended to affect Boxed Set, but why won't it?

It means that genre shows will still be discussed in Boxed Set, even if they are on cable.

I just meant that establishing this thread wouldn't require yanking shows out of Boxed Set that are already there - though I think there are a few that might be suited, really. What's a better way to phrase that?

Or unsub when you're behind and catch up when you get a chance to watch things, which is what I do with Boxed Set.

This is what I did with Boxed Set as well. The thing is there are so many shows in there that I'm always behind on at least one of them and as such haven't been in there in over a year. As soon as it's more than a very small handful of shows it's pretty much a guarantee for me that I'll always be behind in at least one of them.

With the exception of Reality TV they did fail for me. That's the point I'm trying to make. I understand that they were a success for a segment of the population here, but that is not universal.

Generally speaking, shows seem to find a home that support the discussion, Strega. Something like The Dead Zone, which is already talked about in Boxed Set, probably won't come in to Cable Drama because it's already discussed there. or, if it becomes apparent that the people who talk TDZ do so in Cable, the discussion will move there. I don't think it's necessary to police the shows by thread. It seems, in my experience, to work out naturally.

Very true, but a number of folks were taking time to make the point upthread that whitefont/no-whitefont is considered a deal-breaker for them on whether or not they will participate.
