Great. Thanks, Brenda.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
What's a star belly? Is it a kind of beagle?
It's a kind of Sneetch.
It's a good opportunity to thank Jon and ita for all their work in all the ballots, I think. So: thanks!
Nilly - Did you get my message with the secret code?
Jon, didn't you get my answer? It was just "Thanks, now I shall rule the world with the rest of the secret-knowing, mwahaha", so nothing important, but I'd be worried if my mail address doesn't behave itself (or do you think it has an opinion on the subject of the vote at hand and wants to play with the results? Hmm).
Nobody is disenfranchised; everyone gets to vote.
That's true, bad word choice.
Basically we're ruled by a simple majority and anyone not in that majority is left out in the cold in this case.
Or, we all have to make compromises, and we try figure out what compromise will work for most people. As the no-thread-nannying discussion regarding the network dramas illustrated, there's a strong sentiment to make sure no-one is left out in the cold except by choice.
Jon, didn't you get my answer?
I got it a few minutes after I posted, Nilly. Thanks.
While I understand that sentiment there seems to be a pretty clean divide here with one camp saying "If there's whitefont I won't go in the thread, as it is useless to me" and another camp saying "If there is not whitefont I won't go in the thread as it is useless to me."
In this case it comes down to simple majority. In the case of Hec and I, if the non-whitefont plan wins, he will use the thread, and I will not. If the whitefont plan winds, I will use the thread and he will not.
But that doesn't mean you can't discuss things in Natter. Or unsub when you're behind and catch up when you get a chance to watch things, which is what I do with Boxed Set. Or when you're caught up in one but not others, pop into the thread on the night that particular show airs when you can be reasonably confident that the discussion will be around what you have seen, which is also what I do with Boxed Set.
Conversely, if whitefont is selected, people who are not fond of whitefont will have to either suck it up and whitefont, or find some other way to live with it.
When Angel and Buffy were still running, I was among the phobiest of spoilerphobes, so I do get how frustrating it can be. But you have to find a way to make it work for you. Or not, and that's your choice, but "anyone not in the majority is left out in the cold" is a pretty harsh interpretation of the text.
