Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

In my opinion, it's up to people to filter for themselves.

Plus, it would mean I couldn't read a post about Atlantis without possibly spoiling myself for another show mentioned in that same post.

Some people have stated difficulty with this practice, i.e. being weeks behind. Having the site do it for you solves this issue.

The thread would have to have a special rule about strictly commenting only on the selected show. Cross-show posts would be stomped. This is no different than whitefont rules elsewhere (without the hassle of whitefontage).

And creates other ones.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"Having the site do it for you" would presumably take coding and therefore time. And with all work on the site done on a volunteer basis, it could take a while.

I also can't really articulate my personal distaste for the idea, but it has something to do with this being a community and not a made-to-order piece of technology.

But as Jesse's saying, it's probably not even practical.

Ok, I volunteer to do it. I've got plenty of experience with PHP, plus time and the inclination to do the work.

But Eddie, there are other things in the queue that we've been waiting for and those should get done first.

So are you volunteering to take those on as well?

Sure. I live to serve.

Okay. Here's the list: [link] I think they discuss what's what in BBaBB.

And the filtering idea does skeeve me. It feels like it turns the thread from a place of two-way interaction into a place of one-way interaction. Or one-and-a-half-way.

I need Liese.
