I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Up with the sun

So if we're not voting, what happens? Does the consensus that it's nice for secondary logins to make it know who they are in some way get written down or adopted as policy or anything, or did we just basically waste four days?

I'm not trying to start anything, just genuinely curious.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I think it could be, just like the not signing of posts, a community effect thing. So, the talking wasn't a waste, even without the vote.

Thanks, Deena. I think it will be harder to see a community effect on something rare like secondary logins than on something as obvious as nt signing posts, but I guess we can just wait 'till the next sockpuoppet and see what happens.

You're welcome.

I think it will be harder to see a community effect.

Probably. I don't see a better solution, though.

Our wings are not tired

As far as I know if the proposal is pulled then there is no action to be taken. If we want an action then it will have to come up in B'cacy. It does not need to be a proposal, as we've altered things on the board without them before, or it could be a new proposal. If this one is pulled, then that is where this proposal stops.

At least that's my understanding, I could be very very wrong.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I appreciate that we discussed the issue.
I agree with this.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Proposal for a Veronica mars thread by Jim:

I can't recall the process, but yeah, I propose that we have a VM thread. Purely selfishly, I can't keep up with Natter these days, and I want to discuss VM in the kind of depth you only get round here.
