Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Third, because I haven't posted in or read either since Wonderfalls was canceled, so I have very little knowledge of what's going on in them. If someone who does post in them proposes that they be archived, I'd probably vote for it, but I wouldn't feel right about proposing it myself.

Just to clarify, I think Allyson meant the Lovesick thread and not the Minearverse thread when she suggested closing Wonderfalls.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

you'd have to go all or nothing on being spoiled

Is there anyone here who objects to that though? So far, I think that all the spoiler whores who've posted about it have said that they don't care.

Up with the sun

Ah. See, I don't think I've *ever* read Lovesick, so I forgot we still had it. Anyhow, same thing applies -- I'm not going to propose eliminating a thread I don't know well.

(Plus, isn't it needed until the Wonderfalls DVDs are out?)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

(Plus, isn't it needed until the Wonderfalls DVDs are out?)

I guess. It opened April 16th, clocked a little over 600 posts, and hasnt had a post since August 18th. Looks dead, to me. Why couldn't Wonderfalls be discussed in Minearverse? How long is a DVD series a spoiler? Is there even a demand for it?

Is this a separate proposal and I'm just clogging up the works?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I had a brief stint of spoiled for Angel and not for Buffy. So selective spoilage happens, but I don't think it's particularly common. Oh, and so not an issue for me, personally, now.

Trust my rage

This may be separate, but maybe Lovesick will be the perfect example of a thread needed for a short while that we later closed once the need for it disappeared.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Is there anyone here who objects to that though? So far, I think that all the spoiler whores who've posted about it have said that they don't care.

I probably wouldn't go into a spoiler thread myself, but just want to note that nobody seems to object to the trend in Natter of posting the name of the show at the top of the whitefont. The same practice could work for people who want to be spoiled for some shows, but not for others.

What did we do when the Firefly DVDs came out? Didn't we have a "grace period" where the unaired EPs could only be discussed in Firefly Spoilers? If so (or even if not), I'd suggest we do that for Wonderfalls. Maybe close Lovesick a month after the DVDs come out? In any case, unless LJ feels strongly about including it, I think it's a separate proposal.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'd prefer one big spoiler thread, no whitefont. But I'm pretty much a take-all-comers spoiler doxy and not some fancy-pants companion with an exclusive high-end clientele.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that is part of the appeal of spoiler threads, eh, no bothering with the whitefont?
