To those four bullets, I would like to add that we close and archive Buffy Spoilers Lite. Kat?

The House Keeping Proposal:

1. The Buffista Corp thread gets closed. Bless its Cafe Press heart.

2. At some point, post-death match that the Buffy quotable thread be closed.

3. The Previously thread will either be closed and an Angel previously thread opened or the current one will be repurposed for Angel. (open to a conversation on the merits of closing a current thread and opening a new one that does the same thing, or renaming a current thread with a new functionality. . .I am without preference.)

4. Change ita's username to bo-bita.

5. Due South, Smallville and perhaps Farscape will be consolidated in some way.

6. Buffy Spoilers Lite will be closed.

7. Change the name of the Buffy/Angel Spoilers thread to "Angel Spoilers"

Each item will be considered on its own with a yes/no vote.

This ballot is very much a preliminary. I am open to including other items as they come. Nor am I wedded to any item remaining on the ballot. In other words, it's possible that I will be easily swayed. Any item discussed but doesn't make it to the ballot will not be included in the usual moratorium.

I'm not sure Farscape belongs with the other two; Due South and Smallville could become the Hoyay thread easily enough, but I think Farscape is a distinct cause.

Also, what about the fic threads? Consolidate or not? In what manner? Any ideas?

It's not the number of threads, per se, it's the number of posts, right? So 2 threads with 10 posts per hour would use as much resorces as 1 thread with 20 posts per hour? So is there really much benefit to consolidating threads?

I would also sugest that, for archiving and searching purposes, it might make more sense to close threads then re-open the newly purposed threads than change the names of existing threads.

The general consensus from the Farscape peeps that have spoken is that they are okay with it becoming a sci-fi TV show thread, though that's not really a housecleaning issue as it stands.

I think the voting on this issue will likely be unanimous (well, except for one vote, maybe...)

I could agree with their being a general HoYay Thread with Due South and all the shows that get discussed there (Due South, Highlander, Stargate) as well as Smallville, but I don't think Farscape really fits in.

Bitchy Fic and PPO could be combined, I think, since Bitchy Fic has different types of Buffista written fanfic that isn't Smallville or BtVS or Angel.

However Fanfiction is a discussion thread and not where actual works in progress are posted and I'd like that to be kept seperate. I have a hard time keeping up with Bitchy Fic, I try, but it's nice to know I can go to Fanfiction and find discussion about Fanfic trends or find recommendations and things like that.

This is where I read earlier today about combining Smallville, Due South, and Farscape: Consuela "Bureaucracy 2: Like Sartre, Only Longer" Aug 19, 2003 9:25:28 am PDT Again, I'm not wedded to the idea of having Farscape in the group.
