Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In the example I gave, Cindy, we both know where I got my info. So I follow Lyra Jane's suggestion, googlenews Michelle Trachtenberg Angel and receive a hit for an article titled "Connor finds love" with the blurb "Michelle Trachtenberg's Dawn joins the Angel cast as a love interest for Victor Kartheiser's character ..." from scifi.com

Guess who's not happy? Me. And that's without clicking on the link, just the result posted on the results page.

How is this being overthought? It's the direct analogue to what happened when I wanted to see if the whited out casting speculation had been officially reported.

edit:

ita, what's the deal with unAmericans as a safe haven for spoilerfree? Is it really behind or something?

Months behind. I don't know if Buffy's even ended for all of them yet.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I think future episode titles were a courtesy white-out. I personally don't feel spoiled by them, but I have no idea about other denizens.

"Fredless" as a title didn't really give anything away, although it seems like it should.

Now, if an episode is called "Wes Gets Some Angel-Lovin'," it had better the hell be accurate. And I guess that would be spoilery, but I don't think anyone would care. Except the Wes/Gunn faction.

Thanks for all the fish.

ita, what's the deal with unAmericans as a safe haven for spoilerfree?

unAmericans is a place where those people who don't see ME shows on the NA schedule can talk about things... If I were to go talk about things that I've seen on Angel in there, I would spoil them. NAFDA threads are where the North Americans go to have spoiler-free discussion. Spoilers and spoilers light are where the spoiled go.

I know it is the perception, but it is NOWHERE represented in this conversation.

It's represented by the need to have this conversation to clarify spoilers, I think.

People have different tolerance levels for spoilers. Our threads are spoiler rules. We're trying to have the rules variously clarified, changed, adhere to the written word of the policy, adhere to the spirit of the policy or coated with chocolate and presented to the cast of the Big Gay Pirate movie - depending on one's point of view.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Look, the thread clearly isn't closing. The request to do so, however, was not an attempted coup.

Not, that just means that, if it was, it wasn't successful. NOT that I'm stating that it was.

By the way, I just have to get this off my chest now, to pretty much everyone involved:

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP

Nobody is bringing up anything new, it's just going around and around.

Let me know when this thread gets closed, so that I can resubscribe. I'll be over at the bar.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Now, hearing that the cast of the Big Gay Pirate Movie was going to be presented on AtS, dipped in chocolate? That'd be my kind of spoiler...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And sadly, Wonder Falls doesn't strike me as a very blood thirsty show.

Feh. These artists! Wanting to explore their range. t rolls eyes

Thanks for all the fish.

If you checked the list in your newspaper about fall renewals, hoping AtS had been renewed back in May, which you wouldn't find, being not Stateside.

However, that's where I'd find it. And did.

Thank you for answering me, Plei. This is the kind of information I do not have, and really do need in order to get a feel for how easily found/avoided this information is.

Thanks for all the fish.

Can some one close Gandalfe's tag, and, possibly - it seems over the line. This is, after all, the discussion thread.

(edit) My goodness, can I finish a thought? Apparently not.

The post seems over the line in terms of it's content. I'm going to politely ask Gandalfe to lower his voice and speak in 'I' statements.

Nobody

My point - and I think perhaps ita's though I'm not sure - is that where would I come across the cast list information if I wasn't looking for it. It was a general question about information availability, not a question actually asking to see the list.

When tv schedules are announced in regular articles in papers and on websites (news sites, not fan sites), cast lists are included. Whether or not Angel was going to be renewed was a huge question this year, that I know even some spoiler-averse people wondered about. Included in the official announcement of the renewal is the cast list.
