Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am a girl, and I was kidding, but it did feel pretty good.

3 and 6 and I presume Jesse said that to Sean with humor.

Yes, I am taking any and all abuse, so that my Buffistas do not aim it at each other.

And there seems to be a general inclination to the 3 and 6 month end. If this trend continues through the discussion, I'm thinking those will be the choices for the ballot.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

No apologies or "I was kiddings" necessary, Jesse. If it feels good, do it. To me. (sounds porny, but isn't. Unless you're into that sort of thing).

Seriously people. I am here for your abuse. I've even got a nice cross and a crown of thorns over here. I will take your abuse unto me, and cleanse you of it in the process.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Three and six, fer sure. Though my instinct is three is a little short, given that we have a relatively lengthy decision-making process to begin with.

Is it too early to bring up what would constitute an exception and how that call would be made? I mean, to use two wildly hypothetical examples, would we reopen debate over an Alias thread if Joss or someone else ME-ish became involved in it? And, if someone asked for a 2004 Election thread next March and it was voted down, but in May Bush called off the election because of a "national emergency", would we re-open it? (From our laptops, whilst fleeing for the border.) And who would make the call on when circumstances truly warrant a re-open?

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Unless you're into that sort of thing

Are you asking if Buffistas are into that sort of thing???

Hoo boy, you just opened yourself up to a world of porn.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Just for reference, He Who Shall Not Be Named was first suspended just under three months ago. (NOT reopening that discussion in any way, but I think it's a useful marker of "that's how long three months on the Phoenix board is.")

The Phoenix was born almost exactly 6 months ago.

I can't think of anything specific from 1 year ago off the top of my head.

So I think I'm leaning towards 6 months at this point. It's a happy medium.

And fuck you, Sean. ;)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hey Sean: Monkey = 12!

I don't know what it means, but I didn't feel like swearing.

Real post, I agree with 3 and 6 months being the two we vote on.

Steph's not around, is she?

...But seriously, folks. Susan, I think we might be able to reopen a discussion by acclamation (sp?) if something really out of the ordinary happens.
