Can somebody set up the vote? (Have we discussed this long enough that asking for a vote is proper?)
I'll set up the ballot. When does voting start? Tomorrow night at Midnight or tonight?
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

March 20th is the date, because that's when Betsy originally made the grandfather proposal in bureau. And for the love of all that's holy, it's this kind of pedantry (and believe me, I have pedantry coursing though my veins in lieu of blood) that makes these discussions so difficult. March 20? February 22? Who gives a fig? It's Betsy's proposal, it's her date. She can throw in the 12th of Never, and we either vote yes or no, based on content, date, or how she used commas.
Cindy, I thought this thread was for discussion/suggestions about the proposal. I don't understand where I crossed the line here, since I asked this question three times and nobody addressed it.
Well, the short version is, what the proposer says goes on the proposal. She may listen to our suggestions, and accept some of them, and reject some of them. Betsy hated my "interdict" and didn't use it, and that's her right, even if I much prefer the $0.50 word. (It's a cool word!)
I think, though, that Betsy's most recent post was intended as the final text of the ballot, in which case all of this is Monday-morning quarterbacking, which may be where Cindy's frustration lies. Cindy, am I right?
Sorry I didn't respond. The answer to the question is that March 20th was the date I proposed it, and in that proposal I said "As from today". I figured that I got four seconds for the idea that as from March 20th there was a moratorium. If I were changing it, I'd change it to May 20th.

It was indeed, and it said so explicitly.
I was trying to come across as flippant and ended up sounding bitchy. I'm sorry Wolfram. But Nutty's right on why I posted at all, I just felt like it's done, she posted her final version - let it lie, but if we were face to face I (hope I wouldn't have) come across as nasty, but rather, that I would have made you laugh. Again, sorry.
I know I'm going to get yelled at for this. But wasn't it four days discussion, three days voting? Is the discussion period over?
I'm really confused now.
Four days discussion maximum. I believe we can move it to the voting stage earlier if no one has anything new to add.
Thanks Dana. I thought the four day period was deliberately set to give less frequent posters an opportunity to chime in. I was totally unaware that a proposal could move forth sooner. Sorry Betsy, and Cindy.
I'll go stick my head back up my ass.
