I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I did too, then completely failed on the other ones.

Got the purple, then had to really work for the others.

Thrive to spite them

Megan thanks for the food and cookbook suggestions.

I don't know if it was something I ate yesterday or I have a stomach bug but I am miserable right now. I had a mini meltdown when I got home and M was really sweet and supportive and trying to be helpful and I had to finally say I am not looking for solutions I'm just venting and emotional (I've been very emotional this past week ). He ended up going to Walmart and buying a lot of healthy stuff. Although some of it I'm not sure if it will work for me but I'm going to try it. He got whole wheat bagels, some swedish whole grain crackers, Weather's candies, activa yogurt, vegan ice cream, whipped honey spread. Just all kinds of stuff

This morning I had most of the bagel with the tiniest smear of honey spread and some silk coconut milk. I'll see what happen. I'm going to try and not make myself crazy and just go back to trying to make small changes instead of super drastic ones.

I have had almost no caffeine since Tuesday evening. And no carbonated drinks which is huge for me.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hi all. I'm sorry to barge in out of the blue with a difficult question, but these are the cards I have today.

I got a concerning email from a friend in Seattle who is mentally struggling. Other than directing her to a crisis line and offering to talk with her, is there anything I can do from abroad? I have her number (but I'm abroad so she can't receive texts or calls from me) and her address (and again, I'm abroad so I can't knock on her door). I was wondering if you happen to have other ideas.

Edited: I eventually remembered that you can call people based on their emails via Google Meet, so I'm trying that.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thank you all. Just heard back from the friend, and hopefully she'll get help today.

The being worried for friends overseas in different time zones can be really worrying. I feel like there should be a "I'm still alive" button for folks to check your status, whether it's war (hiiiiiiii) or ideations.

Oh, Shir, I'm so glad to hear you heard back. That is a scary place to be -- when you're a world away from a friend in need like that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Today is Mr. S's birthday. He is 10.(I know!) Yesterday, Gary, his mom and Mr. S went to get a new bicycle for him.(He outgrew his old one a while back) We ordered take-out from a local Italian restaurant, with lemon cake for dessert.

We were woken up far too early for a Sunday by Mr. S, who was bouncing off the walls. Breakfast was waffles, then he and I worked on his new Lego set(Hei-Hei from Moana) which arrived early this morning. He then proceeded to take a nap. He is now back at the unit.

Pretty good weekend over all.

Our wings are not tired.

It's good to hear that the birthday weekend went well, Sheryl. It is mind-blowing that he is 10 now.
