The being worried for friends overseas in different time zones can be really worrying. I feel like there should be a "I'm still alive" button for folks to check your status, whether it's war (hiiiiiiii) or ideations.
Oh, Shir, I'm so glad to hear you heard back. That is a scary place to be -- when you're a world away from a friend in need like that.
Timelies all!
Today is Mr. S's birthday. He is 10.(I know!) Yesterday, Gary, his mom and Mr. S went to get a new bicycle for him.(He outgrew his old one a while back) We ordered take-out from a local Italian restaurant, with lemon cake for dessert.
We were woken up far too early for a Sunday by Mr. S, who was bouncing off the walls. Breakfast was waffles, then he and I worked on his new Lego set(Hei-Hei from Moana) which arrived early this morning. He then proceeded to take a nap. He is now back at the unit.
Pretty good weekend over all.

It's a decision I make when I notice it's the birthday of a Buffista I haven't seen post in a very long time. Then I decided that it's still a source of joy to celebrate them, and maybe they'll be lurking, or at least feel the love.
So, happiest of happy day wishes are being sent to Zenkitty today!

It's also my MIL's birthday. She really is a gem. She makes me crazy because she won't take care of herself, but she has always been wonderful and loving to me. She is only 10 years older than me, so closer in age than DH, but the difference is such that she seems 20 years older.

I made the lovely discovery this week that my cats have fleas. (Well, I know for sure that one has them while the other seems unbothered but has jet black fur, so checking for them is a lost cause). Got a flea collar on Jackson who was biting out tufts of his own fur, but despite not minding her ID collar at all Molly has been a firm NO about me putting a flea collar on her so far.
