Hi all. I'm sorry to barge in out of the blue with a difficult question, but these are the cards I have today.
I got a concerning email from a friend in Seattle who is mentally struggling. Other than directing her to a crisis line and offering to talk with her, is there anything I can do from abroad? I have her number (but I'm abroad so she can't receive texts or calls from me) and her address (and again, I'm abroad so I can't knock on her door). I was wondering if you happen to have other ideas.
Edited: I eventually remembered that you can call people based on their emails via Google Meet, so I'm trying that.

Oh Shir good luck. I hope your friend is ok and gets help.
Thank you all. Just heard back from the friend, and hopefully she'll get help today.
The being worried for friends overseas in different time zones can be really worrying. I feel like there should be a "I'm still alive" button for folks to check your status, whether it's war (hiiiiiiii) or ideations.
Oh, Shir, I'm so glad to hear you heard back. That is a scary place to be -- when you're a world away from a friend in need like that.
Timelies all!
Today is Mr. S's birthday. He is 10.(I know!) Yesterday, Gary, his mom and Mr. S went to get a new bicycle for him.(He outgrew his old one a while back) We ordered take-out from a local Italian restaurant, with lemon cake for dessert.
We were woken up far too early for a Sunday by Mr. S, who was bouncing off the walls. Breakfast was waffles, then he and I worked on his new Lego set(Hei-Hei from Moana) which arrived early this morning. He then proceeded to take a nap. He is now back at the unit.
Pretty good weekend over all.
It's good to hear that the birthday weekend went well, Sheryl. It is mind-blowing that he is 10 now.
That sounds like a lot of birthday goodness! Glad to read it!
Shir, hoping your friend can find good help and some welcome relief.
