Anybody see us declare complete war on Gaza with a promise to “own it” and “develop it” with “other people’s money” while Gazans happily leave and live in a “beautiful county?”
I want to throat-punch everyone who said they couldn't vote for Harris because she supported genocide in Gaza. And then light them on fire.
Timelies all!
Just caught up on almost a week's worth of posts. The big news at our house is we have kittens!
We adopted 2 sisters named Barada and Nikto(Yes, the other kittens in the litter were named Klaatu and Gort- they were adopted before the ones we got)Right now they're in the rec room with food, water, letterbox and toys. Barada is starting to get more friendly, while Nikto has hidden herself very well.
Yay kitties!
I had not heard the latest Gaza news. I’d ask what the Rancid Cheeto in Chief is thinking, except we all know he’s not.
As far as eggs go, my sister is going to hook me up with her hairdresser, who raises chickens and sells their eggs on the side. It’s giving 90s drug deal vibes. I can get you those sweet, sweet hen fruit, baby. Double yolk even. Just bring the money to the parking lot behind the Cut & Curl after hours and I’ll set you right up.
I always get the free range eggs at the grocery store, and those haven't really gone up in price ($4.99-$7.99 a dozen, depending on brand and if there's a sale). But the store-brand (Meijer) eggs are now $4.69 for a dozen. I don't know if the free range egg prices just haven't caught up yet, or what.

Yard eggs are the BEST eggs.
I’ve decided to just preemptively start switching out my egg sandwiches for oatmeal and yogurt.
Re:Gaza - 1) it’s awful and truly a sick minded proposal 2) I fully expect some hamas supported attacks on us soil if the rhetoric continues.
One of my Senators’ voice mail was full, hope that a good sign.
Timelies, all.
On the egg issue, I saw a Facebook post from a university agriculture extension with suggestions for egg alternatives for baking. I was somewhat surprised that the comments (as far as I could see) were just full of helpful suggestions for baking without eggs.
Van Hollen’s was full earlier today when my friend called but in was able to leave a message. So I hope that does mean they’re getting lots of calls
Aquafaba is the commonly-accepted vegan egg substitute. Also maybe something with chia seeds?
As a fed, i would like to stay that it's HELLA DIFFICULT TO CONCEnTRATE RIGHT NOW.
Also, I'm incredibly grateful for my management team, because they are rocking it compared to every other agency or division I know. Lots of communication, actively trying to protect people, open for conversation, and a subtextual indication that nobody is going to police this RTO very hard.

Chia seeds, flax seeds, mashed banana, apple sauce -- there are a ton of different ones for different applications. Depends on if you want the finished product to be chewy or fluffy, and on whether or not you need the egg to work as a binder.
