Our wings are not tired.

I dole them out into my sake cup I've had for literal decades.

I place the next pills to take in a shot glass which features a skull & bones and declares 'Pick your poison'. It amuses me. My calendar reminders sit on my screen until I clear them. Everything in my life is in my calendar.

All the rice bowls sound wonderful, but only cauliflower rice, or broccoli slaw, zucchini spirals, or the like for me. Back on Keto the last couple months. It might be a forever thing. Also doing a 16:8 thing just having black coffee or tea before lunch time and nothing after dinner. On a mission!

I get up, have my coffee, look at the glove obscuring the photos of my grandnibblings, get annoyed, and give Leifur his morning dose. It’s been pretty effective.

What a fun and effective method!

Punishingly Intricate

Fortunately, I take all my meds in the morning so I just make them part of my breakfast routine.

This is my fave tuna with rice dish:

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

askye, if you need to keep pressure from the sheet off his toe, take a large cardboard box, put it at the bottom of the bed between the mattress and the flattened box and put the sheet over it. The box will keep the top sheet from laying on his foot (even propped on a pillow) and prevent some discomfort. Matt, this might help your mother as well. (discovered when I dislocated my kneecap and had my let in plaster from the ankle up)

I take all my meds first thing when I get up, including the cholesterol medication that's supposed to be taken before bedtime. I only take that one every other day anyway, and my doctor and I agreed that taking it regularly at a less effective time would be better than missing lots of doses due to irregular bedtimes and forgetfulness. I still keep all my pills in a little cardboard box in the bathroom, which I started doing when the kitten I took in back in 2020 (poor Little Britches, taken from us far too soon!) decided pill bottles were the best toys ever.

Alas, Mom is not wearing her boot to bed, and occasionally takes it off during the day when her foot gets too warm. Not best practices, but she's been making her own decisions for the better part of 7 decades and I consider it a victory that I've convinced her to wear it most of the day and not just leave it forgotten in a corner like the hearing aids she doesn't like wearing.

Thrive to spite them

M doesn't have a boot for his foot. Well he has a slightly protective shoe. I'm thinking something more stable would help.

Toddson I'll remember about the box. One the couch I've been able to sue various pillows or stuffed animals that live on the couch to prop up the blanket. The giant stuffer teddy bear M got me several years ago has been great to use to prop up his foot or him and the first night I managed to wrap the arm for the bear around to drape the blanket over.

I bought some small Squishmallows on a whim and they were good to adjust the slope of the larger pillows.

I didn't do as good of a job with the bandage last night as I wanted. But M has an appointment at the VA for his anxiety and there is a drop in clinic and he is going to have them check his foot. He isn't optimistic about the appointment but he said the med that he got from the ER have helped hos anxiety and I said that is a good starting point . I wish I could go with him not in the actual appointment but just to be there for moral support.

The new ac is wonderful. It has a great feature where you can turn off the display light.. so less light at night.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm super light-sensitive when falling asleep, so that could make a difference to me! Mostly I just use a washcloth as a eyecover, though, but I have to have my nostrils unimpeded. It's really not neurotic, it's a physical requirement. sigh

Today we send happy birthday wishes to Aims! I hope the day is filled with joy and that the year to come includes being spoiled on a regular basis.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Boy, it's something to watch some of Trump's press conference from yesterday and then watch Walz and Harris speak. It's not even the insane lies and rambling. He just can't construct a complex sentence. He can't express a complex thought. The only thing he can do is superlatives. Bigger, better, worst, ever, history.
