I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was kind of wondering if maybe it was an occupational hazard. One would hope that all the things chefs are tasting are safe, but...

Thrive to spite them

We are doing bathroom floor renovation, or "we" aren't but M's niece's step dad is. I just had to buy the materials and pay him (it needs to be done because there is a whole). We got the stuff and was putting it in the shed/old workshop and there I discover the fitted sheet I've been looking for. Covered in paint. Because M's mom decided to use it as a drop cloth. When I remarked on it she immediately said "It wasn't me! I didn't do it!" She's the only one who has been painting so yes it was her. I don't know why she immediately denies it and doesn't apologize. I know why she took it-she needed something, she saw that, she didn't own it, so she used it.

On the other hand the materials for the floor were much cheaper than I thought they would be. I just have to return the peel and stick tiles we decide not to use.

I really wish I had mom's desire to do DIY stuff because I would have had so many projects done.

I feel like I did a lot of work today. I think I'm going to swing by Taco Bell and then see Deadpool & Wolverine

Taco Bell Tuesday! Which I didn’t actually realize until just now, I’ve just been trying to try the Cheez-It tostada for days. It did not rock my world, but now I know.

Now in the theater with a free popcorn and an overpriced drink, yay!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Today there will be a lot of driving, at least in the sense of time spent, because I have no less than three trips across the Charles into Boston -- two of them in our short bus, alas, and of course into the most dense and traffic jam prone areas.

But then I do get paid for driving. And it's much more Zen to navigate difficult traffic and geography when you, yourself, are not the one who's going to be late. I once saw a bumper sticker that said YOU ARE NOT STUCK IN TRAFFIC, YOU ARE THE TRAFFIC JAM.

I found another piece of clothes with bleach spots. I have no idea what M's Mom does to get bleach in spots on my clothes. ...I'm going to replace all the bleach bser cleaners with Clorox non bleach cleaner.

E will be flying in tomorrow! I won't see him until Friday but yay I'll see my nephew. Hopefully we will hear more about his Greece trip and not just that it was "fun".

Part of the remodel at work is delayed, the actual construction part because of a permit that is needed. Best case scenario it comes through in 2 weeks and we are only 2 weeks behind. It's for the pharmacy, right now they are in a temporary pharmacy...it looks like a fort in the store.

Walmart is raising their base pay back to $15/hr. So I'll be getting that "raise" soon. Until they decide to take it away again I guess.

I keep reminding myself that because we live with M's mom it's possible for us to have things we would to be able to afford if we rented a place. So I need to keep reminding myself of the frustrations we get a pretty yard , a nice location and it's cheap.
