Sigh. It is the middle of the night and I have been wide awake for over an hour. I read for a while, then noticed I had a text about fraud. Which I wasn’t sure if it in itself was fraud? So I logged into my credit card and didn’t see anything like what the text said but did see some random charge for $1 from a place I don’t recognize and Google didn’t help so now I have a new card coming in 5 days? Ugh (and I’m going on a trip in six days, so probably not before I leave?). Ugh. So now I gotta update my card with various places that were on autopay..

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Probably best to update the card every once in a while. I've yet to have fraud on a card, but I'm probably just tempting fate by saying that.

One of the advantages of having been with the same small credit union for like, 30 years (gasp!), is that when I get texts saying that my Bank of America account has been compromised, I can just say "Not today, Satan!"

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I’ve had fraud on a card, and it started with some little charges. So a new card seems like a good idea.

I went to an outdoor theater production of Midsummer Night’s Dream with smonster and a couple of mutual friends last night. It’s great to have smonster as a local again! The play was ok—great setting visually, but poor acoustics. Puck was good, tho.

Love reading that!

Beck was great, except as we were walking out, we realized the acoustics were better literally everywhere than where we were sitting. Good to know for next time.

Today is Deadpool & Wolverine! My husband doesn't want to see it, which has me questioning my choice in mate, but whatever.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Saw Deadpool and Wolverine last night, uncharacteristically early in the run. Usually, with schedules and kids, my geek movie friends and I see movies late, but somehow the stars aligned. I was completely unspoiled, so the surprise guest stars were delightful.

I thought the identity/appearance of the Big Bad was kind of stupid, but the the way they used their power was pretty well done.

I enjoyed it.

Huh, I thought it was 2016 that I did so much texting, but it was 2020. In 2016 I was block walking and phone banking in Texas.

Having a lazy weekend. Slept in both days. Didn’t leave the house at all yesterday.

Thrive to spite them

Ugh. I did some clearing out yesterday of the starting to look like Hoarders (in terms of papers and magazines) computer/craft room. Stirred up dust and now I'm dealing with allergies/sinus . Do not feel good.

Ended up reading this opinion piece this morning [link] and can't figure out if it's just badly written with no clear conclusion or I'm just not smart enough to figure it out or if it's the sinus brain fog . My biggest take away is that guy needs an Editor or a good beta reader

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The week wasn't too bad(other than Mr. S not going to bed until almost 10 most nights) but this weekend...ugh. He had a meltdown Friday night with much pushing things around/off tables. He woke us up around 6 Sat. morning.(How is it that the kid who has to be dragged out of bed Mon-Fri is up bright and early on the weekends?)Dinner out with Gary's mom was ok, although Mr. S didn't like what he ordered and got fussy about it until I gave him the rest of my dinner.(I was full at that point) The three of us went to "Dino Safari" which was fine until it was time to leave, when he had another meltdown. At some point last night he came into our bedroom and slept on the floor.

I ended up waking up a few times before I finally got out of bed. I am sleepy and cranky.

Man, Sheryl, I'm sorry. I hope you can line up a new therapist and they can provide some help.

I'm trying not to get complacent, but the shift in the political vibes in the last week has been astonishing. It's like people just wanted something to vote FOR, instead of just AGAINST. Who knew?

It's weird looking at Harris, though. She's exactly my age, and I'm just looking forward to a retirement, I would not want to take on a challenging new job at this point. The one I have is hard enough. Bully for her for having the energy, I guess!

My new dog is a handful. She has ALL the prey drive, and enormous focus. So if she sees a cat anywhere in view, she won't pee or poo in the yard or on a walk. It's a real hassle since there are plenty of loose cats in my neighborhood. She also loves to destroy soft toys, and chews hard toys too hard. I'm going to spend a lot of money on dog toys...

That said, she's very smart and learning quickly; she just finds it hard to remember what she learned when there is another dog or a cat nearby.
