Good luck Pix and Nd! And Suela good luck avoiding the crazies. Yeesh.

It rained a bunch last night and apparently it pooled in the stretched out canopy of my tent over my patio, to the point where the weight of the water broke the metal frame. Dang!! It didn’t even occur to me to try to do anything. Oops. It lasted 10 months, not too bad. And I may have found someone to house sit for me—my neighbor lives in one of our three townhouses and rents the other one out—she used to Airbnb but switched to travel nurses, during the pandemic. So she knew a nurse looking for a place!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Alternate or concatenate? That is the question....

Yeah, the tent thing is a bummer, but my first tent only lasted a few months. This one lasted 10 months! Maybe if I buy a third one it’ll be a year? We shall see. Not sure if I’ll buy a new one right away? I feel like I haven’t been using it, but then again, it’s been warm and dry for months, so I didn’t much need it??

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I love the word concatenate! No one ever knows what I mean, though.

Drew and Pix, I am hoping you have a good resolution. This seems just really difficult and stressful.

Meara, I think your stuff sounds stressful too. Luckily? I have no money or property…

Guys, I can’t quite say this on Facebook, but my Favorite student actor of all time won the Lotte Lenya competition! It is so unprofessional to have favorites of students, but he was the best. I had the biggest ever “mom crush” on him, which I had before there was the term woobie, but I think it might be similar in feeling. His time at School also coincided with the time of my absolute favorite costume student, so this is just taking me back to when I just loved theatre. They are actually some of the only students I have had still working in the field, as we are not really a theatre school and don’t have a major. But it was such a lovely and delightful time and for four years we basically were his personal wardrobe crew because he was just so good we needed to take care of him and not let him be taken care of by whatever random student wardrobe worker was there. Which is probably how I ended up teaching favorite costume student to be really good at wardrobe.

ETA his set is at about 39:00. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, that is cool!

Good luck, ND & Pix.

I went looking for cheap Covid tests online the other day, but there really aren't a lot that you can just take at home.

I just checked Project N95 and anything with a reasonable price tag is unavailable. Cheapest option is $99 at-home PCR test kit that you have to mail to a lab. I'm glad that I was able to get an at-home testing device through work, because my only other option is taking public transit to a testing site.

My jury duty is complete as of yesterday afternoon. There was no way to socially distance in the small courtroom during voir dire, but I will give props to the judge for the way he handled the courtroom and the potential jurors who took the opportunity to absolutely roast their children during questioning for making parts of the experience entertaining. Everyone was required to wear masks, but not everyone wore them appropriately and some dudes just had gaiters. I'll start testing myself for Covid tomorrow.

I have reviewed the List of Things I Ought To Do, and the List Of Things I Want To Do for today.

Shit, I need to put the sheets in the dryer and start making chicken stock. Getting up now.

Thrive to spite them

I had 2 days off, I was going to leave the house and go do ...something.. I did not.

Now dinner is almost ready and I really don't want to eat it. M made stew in the crock pot and it should be ok but it tasted funny.. not bad just some off seasoning and then he added some things and it tasted not like that but weird. Almost sweet.

Because he added honey to it. And I want to add some hot sauce to try and balance it out but he said he doesn't want to because his mom doesn't like anything hot. And really the only thing it tastes like this point is kind of muddy umami sweet flavor.
