I would be there right now.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I love the word concatenate! No one ever knows what I mean, though.

Drew and Pix, I am hoping you have a good resolution. This seems just really difficult and stressful.

Meara, I think your stuff sounds stressful too. Luckily? I have no money or property…

Guys, I can’t quite say this on Facebook, but my Favorite student actor of all time won the Lotte Lenya competition! It is so unprofessional to have favorites of students, but he was the best. I had the biggest ever “mom crush” on him, which I had before there was the term woobie, but I think it might be similar in feeling. His time at School also coincided with the time of my absolute favorite costume student, so this is just taking me back to when I just loved theatre. They are actually some of the only students I have had still working in the field, as we are not really a theatre school and don’t have a major. But it was such a lovely and delightful time and for four years we basically were his personal wardrobe crew because he was just so good we needed to take care of him and not let him be taken care of by whatever random student wardrobe worker was there. Which is probably how I ended up teaching favorite costume student to be really good at wardrobe.

ETA his set is at about 39:00. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, that is cool!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Good luck, ND & Pix.

I went looking for cheap Covid tests online the other day, but there really aren't a lot that you can just take at home.

I just checked Project N95 and anything with a reasonable price tag is unavailable. Cheapest option is $99 at-home PCR test kit that you have to mail to a lab. I'm glad that I was able to get an at-home testing device through work, because my only other option is taking public transit to a testing site.

My jury duty is complete as of yesterday afternoon. There was no way to socially distance in the small courtroom during voir dire, but I will give props to the judge for the way he handled the courtroom and the potential jurors who took the opportunity to absolutely roast their children during questioning for making parts of the experience entertaining. Everyone was required to wear masks, but not everyone wore them appropriately and some dudes just had gaiters. I'll start testing myself for Covid tomorrow.

I have reviewed the List of Things I Ought To Do, and the List Of Things I Want To Do for today.

Shit, I need to put the sheets in the dryer and start making chicken stock. Getting up now.

aside from buying a few groceries, am ignoring the Ought To Do list. That list sucks.

Thrive to spite them

I had 2 days off, I was going to leave the house and go do ...something.. I did not.

Now dinner is almost ready and I really don't want to eat it. M made stew in the crock pot and it should be ok but it tasted funny.. not bad just some off seasoning and then he added some things and it tasted not like that but weird. Almost sweet.

Because he added honey to it. And I want to add some hot sauce to try and balance it out but he said he doesn't want to because his mom doesn't like anything hot. And really the only thing it tastes like this point is kind of muddy umami sweet flavor.

Compassionately intolerant

Hey there, hello, howdy, hi. Long time, little check in. I spend too much time on FB and IG...need rehab from Reels.

I'm looking forward to the opportunity to spit on Covid. I've only had one test so far, self-administered even, and I do not look forward to that again.

There are adults in America who have not served on a jury? I get my notice every two years + two days, on. the. dot. My strategy is to carry a copy of Colin Tipping's "Radical Forgiveness." It works almost every time.

I'm happy to report myself safe from the MASSIVE wingnut rally at the Capitol that turned out to be smaller than the average queue outside the opening of a new donut shop on the Hill.

The most exciting thing coming up is my plan to rent a movie theatre for the opening of Dune. It's the one thing I've been most enthusiastic about in ages.

Aaaand, it's my national Please Throw an Entrepreneur a Bone season. The last day, in fact. Please check Beep Me if you'd be willing to spend 15 seconds helping me reach people who need my brand of support. Cheers.

askye, put hot sauce in your bowl, or transfer some to a pot and season it until you like it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Other than buying groceries for the week I haven't done much today.

Our wings are not tired

I got a negative test result from a rapid PCR test I had to take today to be on a production site on Monday. Kristin and I are still waiting on the results from the test we did on Thursday afternoon.

It's so frustrating. There is so much data showing that tests that take more than 24 hours are really not useful.
