Happy Birthday Hec!

Things have been busy. Work is busy. TCBITW is getting married and moving out in August. A person in my network reached out with a possible job with Mythical Games and after three interviews I'm waiting to see what happens. I'm pretty happy with things as they are, so its very low stakes, but the money sounds like it would be really good and it looks like it would be fun/interesting.
Anyhow, I've been doing better and am trying to get back into the swing of things with board development. I actually have updates to push finally.
That sounds like an exciting possibility, Gud. Wow, marriage. How do you feel about the pairing?
Glad you're doing better, Gud, and how exciting that TCBITW is getting married! Always good to see your pixels.
Happy birthday, Hec!
Exciting news, Gud! Congratulations!
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I am 60 today. Not thrilled about that but prefer it to never turning 60.
In the tradition of The Venerable Bede, you may now refer to me as The Venerable Hecubot.
Wow, marriage. How do you feel about the pairing?
He seems like a really good guy, so I'm pretty happy about it. She certainly seems to be happy which is all that really matters.
No thrilled about that but prefer it to never turning 60.
That is a good way to look at it.
That's wonderful, Gud. Of course her feelings as most important but it helps a lot when you like the person marrying your child.
Ah, 60. I remember that one. It was the year I decided I really needed to get serious about my health, after having a really awful end of 59. My Mom in her 90s advised me that she wished she had done more about her health in her 60s to enjoy the next few decades more. I think she did pretty darn well actually.

Yep, my mom said that to me so often. She basically died of old age at 95 so she did something right.
