Quick healing to you, sumi!

All kinds of health -ma your dad's way, Pix. So hard.
Sumi, so glad it went well and that your friends is there for you.
Sumi, so good to hear.
Pix all the ~ma to you and your Dad.
Thank you all.
I slept for most of the rest of the 18th & am now thinking of actually getting up & having something. I have a slight headache which I am attributing to my completely caffeine less day.
Other pain is all in the underarm where they took sentinal nodes. I was slightly disappointed the the dye turned my pee blue rather than green - but it’s still a pretty amusing side effect.
Edited to add that the massaging sock things at the hospital were amazing.
Wishes for quick recovery, sumi. Yes, it doesn't take long to get a caffeine depravation headache. Also, the massaging sock things are amazing!
Pix, I am holding you and your father in my heart today. I hope you both can feel the love headed your way.
On the delightful news front, today we celebrate Plei's birthday! I do hope it is a great day filled with love and joy.
I’m glad the procedure went ok, Sumi.
Pix, travel~ma for you and recovery~ma for your dad.
Thanks, all. I haven't slept in 28 hours and am a little incoherent, fair warning. My dad is acting fine today and is desperate to get out of the hospital. He had a TIA (mini-stroke), and it's likely not his first. He's also still having issues with his memory and getting confused, but he refuses to consider anything like moving into assisted living. I'm looking into some kind of home care part time. I don't know. It's all pretty overwhelming. He's not a good patient and gets really bent out of shape when I "lecture" him about things like decent nutrition (he subsists on cookies, mostly), and I'm trying really hard to be grateful for the fact he's still himself and knows me.
Sumi, really glad your lumpectomy went well.
{{Pix}} Parents really hate when you do the role reversal thing on them, and it is no picnic for the kid either! Good to hear that it wasn't more serious. I sincerely hope he agrees to work with you on an acceptable solution going forward.
