On the delightful news front, today we celebrate Plei's birthday! I do hope it is a great day filled with love and joy.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.

I’m glad the procedure went ok, Sumi.
Pix, travel~ma for you and recovery~ma for your dad.
Thanks, all. I haven't slept in 28 hours and am a little incoherent, fair warning. My dad is acting fine today and is desperate to get out of the hospital. He had a TIA (mini-stroke), and it's likely not his first. He's also still having issues with his memory and getting confused, but he refuses to consider anything like moving into assisted living. I'm looking into some kind of home care part time. I don't know. It's all pretty overwhelming. He's not a good patient and gets really bent out of shape when I "lecture" him about things like decent nutrition (he subsists on cookies, mostly), and I'm trying really hard to be grateful for the fact he's still himself and knows me.
Sumi, really glad your lumpectomy went well.
{{Pix}} Parents really hate when you do the role reversal thing on them, and it is no picnic for the kid either! Good to hear that it wasn't more serious. I sincerely hope he agrees to work with you on an acceptable solution going forward.
Pix, that is rough. You already know there will not be a quick or easy resolution. Hang in there. Rest when you can. Take care of yourself, too.
sumi, glad it went well and you are recovering. Let us know how it goes.
Pix, best of luck for you in dealing with this. It's so hard.
Timelies all!
Ugh, gotta pack for our trip. I think I'll wait until Gary and Mr. S are out of the bedroom, so we're not tripping over each other.
Have a good trip, Sheryl. I'd tell you it was hot and miserable here, but apparently it is everywhere now!
Happy Father's Day to all the most excellent Buffista dads. Love and hugs to those who suffer on this day.
