Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Heh, and I thought there was some new meaning of duck I didn’t know...

Punishingly Intricate

Just ran outside in my robe and bare feet because there was blood curdling screaming happening. I was sure it was a person being attacked. It actually was our neighbor's tiny elderly dog being attacked by a loose dog. The neighbor was screaming at the attacking dog. Other neighbors got the loose dog restrained and the little dog's owner got it to safety. It had been bit but was alert and not crying in pain. Another neighbor who's a vet tech was checking him out before his people took him to the emergency vet. Hope he's OK. Poor little buddy. I'm all pumped up on adrenaline and just finished the book I was reading and am tired but too agitated to fall asleep now.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yikes, that's heart pounding, lisah!

Fully vaccinated!

Good news, Susan! Feel free to roam about the planet licking doorknobs and hugging randos.

Oh, my gosh, lisah! I hope the little guy is OK.

I'm wide awake. And eating ice cream. Probably not the best idea, but what can you do? Besides not eat ice cream, because that is not an option at this juncture.

Yay, SusanW!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Feel free to roam about the planet licking doorknobs and hugging randos.

And maybe even inviting humans not related to us into our house for dinner!

(What I'm really looking forward to, though it'll probably be the last thing to happen, is singing in public again. One of the things I'd been planning to do right before the pandemic struck was rejoin a community chorus I'd sung with for a couple of seasons before getting too busy, and December last year just seemed all wrong without any Messiah singalongs or the packed late Christmas Eve service with ALL the carols.)

Thrive to spite them

lisah I hope the dog is ok.

I got a semi updated from Mom. My Aunt Wanda , who is in her early 80s, hadn't gotten a covid vaccination yet so Mom took her yesterday. She had been waiting for the Johnson & Johnson one but finally a friend of hers and Mom were able to convinced her to go and get vaccinated already. I don't know if she was aware the J & J vaccine had been pulled because of blood clots or not.

And Mom decided she needed to stay longer in Florida. I don't know the details because I've just been texting with her. When I've called she's been tired or busy.

I want to find out when my uncle Jimmy will be back down there. I wish I could go and help mom and give her support but even if I requested time off the earliest I could get it would be 3 weeks from now. I don't want mom to get too stressed out or over worked. I'll ask her today about this and then go from there

Thrive to spite them

Texted mom because I can't sleep and got an update. Aunt Wanda isnt really accepting the reality of the situation , which iI can understand .

Jay is on 5 blood pressure medicines to keep his blood pressure down. He still has bleeding in his brain and there is a drain for that and he is on blood thinners but has multiple clots in both arms. The doctors have said if he wakes up the only real difference will be that he will be aware and in pain He has also opened an eye and raised his arm but not purposefully and not on command. But that he did those things fuels my aunt's hope and her denial of the reality.

I'm so sorry, askye.
