It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Should I care about Ernest Hemingway?

No.

I generally do not care about Hemingway, but he had polydactyl cats, and I have a polydactyl cat. So if the documentary is about the cats?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Askye, I'm so sorry tons of ~ma for your family.

Should I care about Ernest Hemingway?

Only if it means reading The Paris Wife.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Weather was great tonight to take Mom out for her birthday dinner on the outdoor patio of Houlihan's. We happened to run into my best friend and his wife there, and they sprung for dessert (yay!) and had a waitress sing Happy Birthday to Mom (not so yay). We also found that both of them are refusing to get vaccinated, which I don't even know how that's possible if you're a pediatrics nurse in a children's hospital.

That was confusing for a second, because I read a just-OK book called The Paris Orphan, which has Martha Gellhorn as a character!

Heh. The Paris Wife is by Paula McLain, who also has a book about Gellhorn, which I have not read yet.

Re: Hemmingway. While I’m not terribly into his writing, he was an interesting person who lived through interesting times and knew other writers and artists of the time period. I could see a Hemmingway bio being worthwhile.

I'm enjoying "Hemingway", but I find biographies interesting. Having said that, I'm not running out to buy any of his books. I found the first episode, where they talk about how his writing impacted other writers the most interesting so far.
