My 71 year old mother somehow cannot get an appointment in MA (even with my sister helping.) So frustrating!

In Ohio we may be waiting a fair amount longer. We’re all very low risk in the house, and Dillo is too young to be vaccinated at this time.

Edit: I spoke too soon: sister reports nabbing an appointment at 6am for this coming Wednesday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The word here in MA, and maybe elsewhere as well?, is to go directly to the CVS site early in the morning.

MD has no state sign up. The state restrictions are still at only 65+. Even when they go to 16-65 with co-morbidities, they are not yet saying what co-morbidities they will be using. If they include BMI over 3O, like NY, then I should be able to get a note from Dr and qualify. If they don't then I will have to wait through the whole next phase before being eligible. It is likely that Mac in TX will be able to get a shot before I do as some locations in TX are taking waitlists.

See! That's the way.

I think the state is releasing doses on Thursdays, but CVS gets them every day direct from the feds? Or something like that.

I am finding it very hard to get myself moving. I've got a ton of things I would like to get done and I keep doing nothing. I am going to go shower after I hit post and I'm going to clear the pile of clothes out of the bathroom and get myself dressed in something that will be comfortable, but also that I can easily layer or throw a coat over to walk the dogs at 12:30ish (it's 40 degrees, so that is what I am factoring in).

If anyone is up for a text-a-thon chore buddy thing today to help kick my malaise to the curb, let me know.

NM is doing really well (have I mentioned how wonderful the governor is? She's wonderful) but of course my home county is pretty much fully protesting and not getting it, due to stewing in disinformation. Still, my family is fully vaccinated there.

Here, my husband got guidance that he could now use the website, but the website itself still says "70 and older." He's not expecting to get the vaccine until 2022, and our son probably never will.

I tried CVS last week, but they didn't seem to be taking 1b (comorbidity). As in, I entered my age, and it threw up a no go sign. Maybe I'll try again and see if that's changed.

I did the 6 a.m. CVS sign up, too, yesterday, and was in/out for my shot in less than 20 minutes. I was disappointed that I did not get a sticker, because I am 12. I was eligible for a shot because I am faculty, not because of my comorbidity. Since I am on campus with students I felt no guilt about taking my turn. My students are definitely worse about mask wearing than my 11 year old.
