I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, ,Tep, that's very sweet! I'm so glad you got to eavesdrop and share.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S's school marked 100 days of school yesterday. Among the thing he brought home was a necklace made of Froot Loops strung on a string. Of course he cut the string and has been munching on cereal all day. ADHD + sugar + artificial colors= wild child. sigh.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

What a completely unexpected and not at all forseeable result.

(On the school's part, I mean)

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

What a completely unexpected and not at all forseeable result.

Well, I didn't foresee the string cutting. (I assumed he'd just eat them straight off the string candy necklace-style.) Other than that...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Seems like they could be given a directive not to provide certain foods for kids.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Peanut's class did the cereal necklace thing, too, but with Froot Loops only every 10, with Cheerios as the rest. It was something, hearing all the kids go, "Teacher, I ate my cereal!"

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I actually just did a huge project using word tables. What I really hate is when people design their class in a word table and I have to put it in Blackboard, because the formatting is so screwy and when they use it for numbers, like budgets, and then use a calculator. I still like excel for tables better, but it is more about the right tool for the job.

Can anyone recommend some supportive indoor shoes? My feet are telling me to be barefoot less, but all the supportive shoes I have are large and clunky. I want easy to slip on and off. Don't have to be warm, particularly, but not crocs because my feet would sweat.

meara - I use these SAS sandals for my indoor shoes. They have good arch support and I can wear them year-round with socks. I do switch to lined Crocs in the worst of winter.
