And, if anyone's interested, they're showing new episodes of Riverdale. The kids graduated and, last night, seven (!) years afterwards got together.

Hi Allyson!
Congrats Consuela!
There are so many friends I've made and experiences I've had because of Buffy, and I think it's worth separating that out if you can.
shrift is wise. I probably owe half the friends I have today to Buffy fandom, and I'm not going to feel guilty about that just because Joss turned out to be an abusive piece of crap. Or even enjoying his work—a lot of other writers, directors, actors, and crew members other than him pooled their own impressive talents together to make his shows and movies so good.
Congratulations, Consuela!
Timelies all!
Congrats, Consuela!
Bleah. Snowplow came through our neighborhood at 5:45 am, and I couldn't go back to sleep after that.(Wasn't even that much snow on the ground.)
Congrats, Consuela!!! That's very impressive!
I *love* fixing problems like that in Word. Word Nerd! I wish you could just send me your doc to fix, Todd, but I only have Office on my work computer and I goes doing someone else's work on it would br frowned on
I've been coming to terms with JW's terribleness for years, and the pain of that is fresh now that we're getting more details from more people who worked on sets. Some of his work I will reclaim in ways that don't benefit him financially, and some of his work he can fucking keep because there's nothing there that I want to bring with me.
This is where I am.
But, Steph, if they were being stupid in a way you were forced to notice, wouldn't corrections be satisfying? "Nope!" *smash* *tosses the pieces into a box*
Oh man, that would be THE BEST.
Re: the whole Joss thing, I'm reminded of Liz Lemon's discovery on 30 Rock that she was not the bullied nerd in HS as she had imagined but the one with the cutting and cruel tongue who hurt other people.
I have no doubt he was lacerating on set and shitty.
Puppy got his first snow today! He loved it and wanted to dash about but was on leash (poor baby)
I will say this about Buffy.
Since finding this place 'round about the airing of Wonderfalls, I have known what a good and healthy internet community looks like. I have been lucky enough to find and participate in several of them over the years.
I have noticed that no matter the ostensible reason for the community - a Broadway show, a video game podcast, whatever - there are always a healthy number of people who claim Buffy as a favorite, or their absolute favorite. Buffy inspires lots of good people.
It is awful that Joss was/is a terrible person, and if I could go back and block him from that power I would, in a heartbeat, save Charisma and the others from that toxicity; Buffy wasn't worth that horror.
But those of us who found something beautiful and wonderful and worthy of love and connection within the show are not to blame, and not wrong. Allyson, supporting the community that loved the show was, and is, a good thing. The man is not the show. And even the show is not the people. And the people are worth all of the love, and time, and energy, and devotion that you put into them.
Indeed, Gris. Thank you, and others, for their expression of my feelings.
Just saw the Chick Corea died. He was a big part of the reason I fell in love with jazz back in the early 70s.
